Creve Coeur
Parking: Rigging Area: When to go: Directions: More Resources: Comments: The wind at Creve Coeur is always up & down. There is never steady wind pressure. As a result there is never a perfect sail size, you need to rig the sail to have plenty of range. Local knowledge says: "Rig for the gusts, and select your board for the lulls." Creve Coeur is NOT suitable for kiteboarding. The wind is too unsteady and you will be yanked out of the straps one second, and in a complete lull the next. Creve Coeur is however a great place for Landboarding using a kite or a windsurf rig. It is also a great place to learn to fly a trainer kite on land. To the West of the lake, there are Soccer fields which are good for this, as are the car parks at those same soccer fields.
